Rusty Talbot Wins the Reymes – Cole Prize

Every year at the AGM for the last 10 years an award is made to a volunteer at the centre who in the opinion of the Westfield Association  during the previous 12 month has  made a special voluntary contribution to the work of the Centre. The Prize this year was Won by Rusty Talbot a retired fireman  Rusty is a Volunteer driver and escort working with Age concern, Stroke Club and Sure Start groups. The prize commemorates the voluntary efforts of Michael and Derrice Reymes Cole who were founding members of The Community centre  43 years ago and worked  tirelessly  throughout their lives to help the centre grow and develop. Besides receiving a commemorative plaque Rusty will be given a cheque for £500 to donate to the charity or community group . At the meeting Rusty indicated that he intended to give to donate the money to A local Cancer research charity.
